Vehicle Description
2018 Tahoe 4x4 POLICE with only 52kmiles.
RARE FIND!!!
No accidents, well maintained, was owned and used by a supervisor of Massachusetts Institute of Technology ( MIT ).
Engine was rebuilt by the Chevrolet dealer under new car warranty at 52k mi.
It had a minor skip and first they replace the injectors a, then they replaced the lifters and rockers.
I brought it back a third time and they replaced the pistons , crank, and cam shaft.
It still hade this tiny skip.
Then they said it needs a wiring harness but this time they said it is not covered under warranty .
I pulled it from the dealership and brought it to a shop with great techs and explained what happened.
He diagnosed it as a short on a wire in the harness. To be fair it did take a lot of his time to find and correct the short.
He drove it back and forth from his home for a week and it ran great each day. No engine lights have ever can back. The skip has left and never came back.
It was an aggravation experience with the Chevrolet Dealer and time consuming but now I have a fresh engine.
I have documentation of this on the dealers invoices they gave me.
I think it had the minor short to start with and they just were not diagnosing it well.
Not seen the typical hard use of most Police Cruisers.
